"oh well, it's good practice!"

{This week I asked Elder Pacheco to answer a few questions in his letter so I could squeeze out a few more detials!}

What is the spiritual experience that stands out the most this week?
What is your favorite quote or scripture of the week?
What is the most important thing you've learned so far on your mission?
What are some fun and random things you could tell us about your companion, elder jones?
What has been the biggest surprise about the MTC?
What has been the biggest disappointment about your mission, so far?
Do you ever take naps?
How much "down" time do you get every day?
Do you get to email your friends who are on missions?  If so, who have you heard from?
What kinds of things do you want in a care package (people ask me all the time)?

hey guys!

that story about the porters is way cool. thanks for sending it! glad you liked d and c 31, i love that section!

so we just found out that our investigators arent really investigators and that they are just workers or instructors here at the ccm... it makes me feel like a totally lame missionary now because we  thought we had all this success but its not real haha. oh well, its good practice!

i got your care package yesterday and i loved it thanks so much!! the only problem was that the cookies exploded and got all over everything haha. the picture was hilarious though and please tell the brooks thanks for me! so i got the battery for the go pro and plugged it into an adapter this time but it still doesnt work... so now i dont have a mission camera. i guess ill just buy one in chile??

we had another sacrament meeting on sunday and i still havent been called to speak but we still have one more sacrament meeting which means i have one more chance to give a talk in all spanish... hopefully not. i have been reading in Alma 38 like dad told me and i love it. it applies so much to my life and time in the ccm right now and its awesome. read it. elder jones loved the onzies by the way, he says thanks and he will try not to poop in them this time haha.

the biggest dissapointment so far is either the food or the realization that we were teaching fake investigators. we spent a lot of time preparing lessons and trying to teach the best we could, but like i said i guess its good practice!

we have about two hours of gym time everyday except sundays, and we play soccer litterally to the last minute everyday. no one takes naps or even thinks about that because playing soccer with the mexicanos or the other districts is way too fun!

i have heard from the twins, rigdon, and nick benevides, and its been cool getting to write them. i wrote statler but havent heard back from him yet. down here, we just want letters. it doesnt matter what is in them or what they say, we just want something to open! oh but dont send anything else until i get to chile because by the time the letter gets here, ill be in rancagua!!! cant wait for that!

other than the fact of teaching fake investigators this whole time, this week has been really good. we all like it here but want to be in chile so bad! love you guys so much! have fun and be safe in washington mom!! love you niƱo, love you dad! good luck with all the gravel and thanks again for the care package!!! love you guys!

love elder pacheco

I"m guessing this is the Zone?
