"it was one of the strongest impressions i've ever had from the spirit"

I don't have much time to write. we paved a driveway for an investigator from 8am-4pm today. we mixed our own concrete in a wheel barrow with little rocks sand and cement mix and paved a concrete pad about 10 feet long and 10 feet wide. it was lots of work, but know i know how to pave driveways and roads ha.

i want to share something that happened in church real quick, then i gotta go.

an hermana was talking about prayer and personal revelation through prayer, and even though it wasnt a very good talk, i felt a super strong impression from the spirit that dad you and i and adam (when he turns 12) need to go to the temple together as much as possible. during that sacrament meeting i felt a strong need and an urgency to set goals and get much more involved in our family history work and the temple work together.

i regret not going to the temple more before my mission and i want to establish family and personal goals to go to the temple after the mission so we don't have regrets about going to the temple often. my patriarchal blessing tells me that genealogy is a specific reason why im here and that i need to be about that work and attend the temple often.

i read 1 nephi 18 recently, focusing on versus 1-3 and it talks about nephi going up to the mountain(temple) often to do the lords work and receive answers to be able to do the right things. i love those verses and i feel that we need to apply those verses to ourselves as a family and bring adam and other family members, people from the ward, young men and women about to leave on the mission, and the people we love.

im not sure why i felt that impression while listening to a talk on prayer, but i know it came from the spirit and im know i need to act on what i felt. this was one of the strongest impressions ive ever had from the spirit and i just thought i would share that experience with you and tell you i love you. happy birthday mom, ill talk to you next week.

love love,
