"im going to san vicente"

hola familia!

this week was super awesome. we had so many amazing lessons and the spirit was with us the entire week. andrea and hector are progressing so fast, and we are going to invite them to get married and get baptized today. we had 10 investigators and or less actives at sacrament meeting this week too! nacho has his baptismal date set for november 29 and he is also progressing really well. we have had tons of good lessons and meetings and success with pretty much all our investigators.

but there is one small problem... this saturday was changes and there is some good news and sad news... good news: elder garcia is going to become the zone leader of sector curico. bad news: hes not my comp anymore.... and for me, im also leaving san fernando after just one short month... im going to san vicente which is only 45 minutes away from san fernando and my new companion is elder ralda who just got released from being the assistant to the president and this will be his last change! all the elders have said elder ralda is super spiritual and obedient and that he is going to prepare me to be assistant to the pres one day ha.

im not too happy about leaving san fernando and the centinela branch, and elder garcia because we have 6 people that are ready for baptism in the next two months and now i have to go.. but, since im in the same sector i can come back to visit on p days and on splits, and possibly have the chance to baptize our investigators if they are ready and want me to!! how cool would that be!? we are leaving tomorrow morning to go to our new homes and sectors, so ill send pictures of the new casa next monday! it was a great week with lots of crazy news and im ready to work with elder ralda.

About how many miles a day do you walk?
no idea a good amount though, my shoes are pretty hammered, ill send a picture next monday

Tell us about your birthday from start to finish.
the peruvians and elder garcia prepared aome breakfast oatmeal for me in the morning and then as we went to our lessons throught the day, we were bombarded with cake and pasteles and brownies and dulces and all kinds of fruit and it was awesome. elder benavides called me and serenaded me with a feliz cumpleanos song and we finished the day with a bday party with andrea and hector in their hot dog stand. it was an awesome day.

Where do you go to email us each week and how long do you usually have on the computer?  do you feel rushed or do you get plenty of time?
we go to centro to email at this shabby little computer place about 15 minutes from the casa and we have an hour and 15 minutes. im always rushed.

Who cuts your hair and how much does it cost?
we go to random haircutting places in centro but today was the first haircut i got

Are the conjugation cheat sheets we laminated helpful at all?
i havent really had time to look at them honestly, ive been focusing on reading the bom and biblia and other standard works to learn spanish, but i gave the others away to other elderes in the ccm and they said they helped and are helping alot.

How much money do you get for food every month?
we get 95,000 pesos a month for everything which is 180 dolars  im doing just fine with money, don't worry mom.

Are you taking your enzymes?
i took them in the ccm and they helped a little but i havent had any problems here in chile! im gonna keep them if i need them but im all good as of now

Do you have a favorite family in the ward you're currently serving in?
familia de la fuente and andrea y hector are the coolest, ill send pictures of familia de la fuente. we have family home evening every monday night at their house and dinner all the time there too.

How many times a day do you get to pray?
i pray at least 10 times a day normally, but we have prayed way more than that on a few days

Is there anything we could send for your investigators that might be helpful ie. candy,  LDS bookmarks , small pictures of Jesus, etc.
i dont think so, just keep praying for them!

i didnt get my birthday package yet mom, but i think its at the mission home in rancagua and we only go there a few times a month but ill let you know when i get it. bueno, thanks for all the prayers and love and support, it helps and i feel it everyday. i love you all and hope you have a great week, ill let you know how the first week with elder ralda goes next monday!!! love you guys!!
