this week we didn't get held up by any
drunks, or eat any more dog or squid or anything gross, but we did find a
new investigator that we put a baptismal date with for april 4th. his
name is luis and he is so open and receptive to everything, its really
awesome. we are working and teaching and serving him almost everyday and
he is doing awesome. he has been reading the book of mormon and asking
perfect questions and accepted the baptism invitation. hes a good guy
and i feel like he could be one of the people that has been an answer to
 elder higginbothams and my prayers.
the bad
news is that maribel found a job that makes her work every sunday, so i
have been talking with the zone leaders and they think that we need to
wait for another month to have a meaningful and effective baptism with
her. it doesn't make sense to baptize someone if they don't ever go to
church right? nothing happened with juan and janet and the divorce
papers, they went to the court building and i have no idea how no
progress is being made. i'm starting to get frustrated a little bit
because its taking so long, but i just need to remember that the lord
will make it all work out on his own time.
elder
higginbotham and i are getting along great, laughing, having a good fun
time, but still working hard and being obedient. its been a blast
getting to train a newbie, and i've been learning a lot from being
district leader. its actually really fun to teach these classes and help
tho other missionaries learn while i learn from them.
last
week, president warne challenged us as a mission to read the whole book
of mormon before the 30th of april, and i want to challenge all of you
to try to do the same too, even though you'll be a week behind. he
promised us that we will see more success as missionaries, our missions
will be more enjoyable, and we will come to a better understanding of
the doctrine of christ as we cumplir with this challenge . i know that
this challenge is inspired of the president and i love being able to
read this book. each day i read, my testimony grows more and more, and i
can already see the success we are having from this challenge. read the
book of mormon and see the blessings that will come.
love
you guys, thanks for everything you all do for me. hope everyone has a
great week!! be safe and share your testimony about the book of mormon
with someone this week!!!
con amor,
elder pacheco
mom,
the
drunk guy gun situation was scary, ill admit, but i just didn't want to
show my comp or the drunk guy that i was scared ha. the dog and squid
was terrible. dog is hard and full of muscle and squid is really fishy
and super rubbery...gross...
