"we never have to doubt or question their words"

hey everyone,

this week was another solid week. nothing crazy or terrible happened, but elder hwang and i are truckin along. working hard, helping maribel and juan and janet progress and grow and everything is going super great. the divorce and marriage is going good with juan and janet, they should be going to court to sign the last divorce papers this week, they'll have a marriage date for sometime in the coming week, and then they'll finally be able to be baptized along with maribel.}

we have been praying and working and looking hard to find more new investigators or families that need the gospel, and i know that according to our faith and obedience well find someone who needs this gospel. ill let you know who we find next week.

i learned this week that the prophets and apostles are inspired chosen men of god and we never have to doubt or question their words and counsel. i have been reading all the talks from the last two general conferences, and i have found so many things that i forgot about, and tons of new things. i challenge you guys to go and start reading the general conference talks side by side with the book of mormon and see the things that you will remember and learn, and then act on the promptings you receive.

questions:

is there anything you need?
nope im doing great :)

did you get some pouch letters nino and i sent you a while back?
I forgot to follow up on those.  no haven't got anything yet, but im also 6 hours away from where the letters get sent to in rancagua so they could be there. we just have to wait until someone from rancagua comes down here, and thats almost never.

Do you do laundry in your apartment or do you go to members or a laundromat?
we have a little laundry machine in the apartment and we hang everything on a clothes rack to dry

Do your clothes smell like mexican laundry detergent?
ha, ya i think so, im used to it now.

What kinds of service projects have you done lately?
we just went to an orphanage for handicap girls and cut all the grass and trimmed all the trees and pulled weeds and did all the stuff i used to do at lobo landscape. i felt right at home

The elders in the states just got their service moved up to 10 hours a week.  Do you have a certain number of hours per week?
no, not that i know of

Does your ward have a choir?
no but the stake does

Is there any musical talent in your ward? like an organist etc?
the patriarch, carlos alegria, plays the piano. there are no organs here, just electric pianos

Do you wish I would have made you play the piano? ha!
yes, you were also right about that. i am seriously regretting not listening to you.

Is it typical to be the sr. companion and training after 6 months?
no not really. its not super common, but its nothing special either ha

well thats about all for this week. hope you all know that i love you and miss you, but elder hwang and i are doing great down here in conty!! love you guys thanks for everything.

un abrazo fuerte,

elder pacheco
