"i know where i'm supposed to be and i'm so glad i'm here"

hola hola,

glad the fam had a blast in cali, wish i could have been there with you all, but i know where im supposed to be and im so glad im here. this week was another tough one, lots of rejection and tons of doors closed on us. we only taught 10 lessons this week, probably one of the worst weeks of my mission... but that leaves room for improvement this week!

the only people we had at church yesterday were juan and janet, which is great, but its just getting hard not seeing anyone else progress and not finding very many new people that are actually interested in our message, but thats just part of the mission right? just gotta keep praying and working harder each week. we have decided to go around to all the members in our sector and teach them a little message, offer to serve them in some way, and then ask them if they know anyone that we can teach with them. well see what happens this week.

im reading in mosiah right now, and am about to start alma 1 in our mission book of mormon challenge, and im constantly finding ways that i can improve. i love king benjamins discurso and the counsel he gives to his people in the begining of mosiah. i love being able to apply all of his counsels in my life each week. at the end of mosiah, it talks about how alma the elder leaves king noah and starts baptizing hundreds of people, and how his son eventually is converted after he humbles himself to the will of the lord.

i decided that im going to focus on being more humble this week and more like alma the elder who baptized, taught, served, and loved the members of the church in those days. the book of mormon is a inspired book that haand continues to help me and make me want to be better every time i read it. i know without a doubt that if we follow the consejos of this book, we will become converted to the gospel like the prophets who wrote the book. we will become more of the spirit and when it whispers to us and we will literally see and experience miracles in our everyday lives.
