speaking of
conference, it was amazing as usual, and even better watching it on the
mission. i had so many questions answered, learned so many new lessons
and took some good notes to go back and study up on. general conference
is definitely one of my favorite weekends on the mission. its really
incredible how these inspired called men know exactly what we need to
hear as individual members and as a church as a whole. i know without a
doubt that they are called and inspired servants of the lord to lead and
guide us in this church.
so this saturday
before the priesthood session, we got the call from the zone leaders
with changes.... some good news and bad news. im already going to leave
conti and elder higginbotham, and ill be going to santa cruz, about an
hour north of conti. ill be serving as a zone leader in the santa cruz
zone with elder perez from peru! ill send pictures of him and the zone
and everything next week. pretty crazy changes, im excited and nervous
and sad all at the same time ha.
im really sad to be leaving
luis and juan and janet and the family we just found, but i know the
lord has a specific plan for me and a specific reason for me to be in
santa cruz right now. its hard to go, but im excited to see whats ahead.
oh by the way, one off my old investigators, ana maria from my last
sector san vicente got baptized with my old comp elder muñoz!
questions:
1.
did you find the model number on your razor? there are tons of
replacement heads and they're not cheap so if you can give us the
specific kind, we're happy to get you one.
no i didnt but ill get it next week
2. Have you run into an Elder Austin Brower yet? He's Tami Beus' step son and you guys left the same day for the same mission. If not, keep his name in the back of your mind and let me know when you meet him.
haven't seen him yet
3. Have you ever considered doing a video diary with your go pro? I think once in a while you should set it up, talk into it and share some of your thoughts, inner feelings, and testimony. Including the great days, and the not so great days. I promise you will cherish them and so will your family and kids one day. Can you imagine being able to have something like that from dad's mission?
4. Where did you watch conference and who did you watch it with?
in the chapel. just me and elder higginbotham in the church kitchen with a small chilean tv
5. What time of the day was conference on in Chile?
Did you get to watch it live or was it recorded? from 1 to 3 from 5 to 7 and from 9 to 11, it was all recorded
6. Remember the times we went to conference when you were 8 and 14? Do you remember anything specific we can share with Adam this week for FHE?
i just remember the strong feeling i had when president hinckley stood up to speak and i knew he was supposed to be the prophet of god. i cant explain how i knew, but i felt the spirit so strong when he stood up and i still feel the same feeling when president monson speaks
7. In conference one of the speakers (i wish I remembered which one) talked about the first time you felt the spirit, even if you didn't know that's what it was at the time. And the first time you read a passage of scripture and felt like it was written just for you? Can you share your personal experiences with us?
no i didnt but ill get it next week

i remember reading the
book of mormon for the first time in spanish a few months ago, and
reading in alma 14 when alma and amulek leave to ammoniha to be
missionaries and they pass through basically every trial possible. i
remember reading it and felling a little like alma and amulek, but then
later when they recieve the strength to break the chords with which they
were bound and the prison crumbles down around them, i felt so good and
knew that the lord will help us in our difficulties no matter what they
are, according to our faith diligence and obediencia.
alright,
i love you guys a lot, thanks for all the updates and emails. thank you
so much for all the love and prayers. i feel strengthened from them
everyday. hope everyone enjoyed conference as much as i did!!! love you
all, hope you have a great week!!
