hey hey todos!!
this week went by
crazy fast and was pretty good. i went to my first consejo as a zone
leader and got to meet with all the ZLs in the mission and also with
presidente and the asisitentes. the best part was being able to see my
trainer elder garcia, and my buddy elder giguire from the ccm all the
way back in mexico!
we have been super busy
these past few days planning a trip to the beach called Pichilemu and we
were able to go today. we left at about 10 got to the beach at 12 and
hung out on the sand (didnt touch the water) and then had a huge chilean
barbaque (asado) as a whole zone. ill send the pictures i got.
nothing
crazy happended this week, the volcanoes are still active and erupting,
but dont worry im still just fine (sorry for getting a little fired up
last week, everyone was asking if we were ok ha)

Have you received your "Easter" package yet?
oh ya i got that last change, thank you guys so much, loved it
Did you buy a new pair of shoes? Where did you find them and are they holding up ok? How much does a good pair of shoes cost in Chile?
i bought a new pair last change and they're just fine, they cost about 40 bucks mas o menos
What is the most rewarding thing you did this week?
we got to teach a menos activo about the importance of families and we brought the spirit into her house. i know she hasn't felt the spirit like that for a long time, so it feels good to help people in the smallest ways like that. we also went and returned to pichilemu safe and sound after a week of crazy planning so that was a relief
Can you understand most everything in Spanish, even if it's not gospel related?
its kind of hard to understand the people in the country, they have different accents and words they use, but other than that i can understand the others just fine
Can you read and write as well as you can speak?
i don't write as much as i speak so i'm not super good at writing in spanish but i can read just fine
What has been the most unexpected thing about being in charge of a zone?
trying to plan a zone activity, dealing with so many problems from the hermanas in the zone
Dad has told me about all the pranks that he played as a missionary. Do you guys play jokes on each other or is it all business?
no presidente warne does not like pranks and has told us never to pull pranks. this is a sacred work of the lord that should be handled reverently and seriously (but we still have plenty of fun)
What do you remember the most about FHE in our family?
that it was always on monday nights no matter what, singing from the music bucket, and being able to feel the spirit of a united and happy family.
How is your 3 hour block different from the block here in QC?
well there are a LOT of different things here in chile, but the doctrine is the same so that's all that matters. we start at 10, go to 1, but then half of the people leave after sacrament meeting...
How is the quality of leadership in your ward?
pretty good for chile, i've seen worse in my time, but the members are great, and now that we have a branch president things are going a lot smoother. we don't have a secretary or second counselor and none of the presidents in the quorums or classes have counselors, but were working on that and its slowly getting better here in santa cruz
Are you starting to come into fall right now? Are there 4 distinct seasons or is it more like AZ....hot or cold.
2 days ago it went from 80 in the afternoon to 55 in the afternoon and like 40 in the mornings and nights, its freaking freezing. summer is from december to febrero, spring is from march to may and winter is from may/august to december
What is something you least expected would happen on your mission, but has happened.
i was called to be the zone leader when i had 9 months and after this change im going to have 9 comps in 9 months
Who do you miss more dad or Kizzy? thats a tough one......
