Tell us about the people you have in your teaching pool right now. mauricio has a baptismal date for the 29th of august, and we have a few other investigators who need a lot of help to quit smoking, get married, get to church, and get baptized. mauricio is our main focus right now though
Do you email braxton, rachel, dj, rigdon, regularly? I just sent them and all your other friends an email last week and heard from a lot of them.
i try to send my group email to everyone and every once and a while another personal email
When does elder benevidas hit his two year mark? any chance you'll be companions before he comes home?
he goes home in exactly 2 weeks so i wont get to be his comp.
on a scale from one to 10 how much do you miss bacon explosion? 100000000000000!!!!! that's what i want waiting on the table for me when i get home haha
this
week has gone by so fast, i can't even believe it. we went all over the
zone doing divisions with 6 different elders, 3 days in a row. it was a
blast and we got a lot of work done in a short amount of time. it feels
good when a plan comes together and you see the fruits of the work you've
done. last week as a zone we only had 1 baptismal date, our goal is 13
as a zone, and now from divisions we have 6 as a zone. its a lot of
good improvement, but there is still plenty of room to keep improving.

this week after
all the crazy divisions elder tabilo and i found this old investigator
that was being taught by the elders before we got to san fernando named
mauricio. it was about 8 30, 30 minutes before we had to start heading
home, and elder tabilo decided that we needed to look at the list of old
investigators we had. he chose mauricios name by inspiracion and we
ended meeting and teaching mauricio about the book of mormon, where it
came from, and why it is the keystone of our religion. we both bore
powerful testimony of the book of mormon and it was visible that he felt
the spirit so strong. the spirit was tangible in that lesson, as well
as i a few other lessons about the book of mormon we taught in divisions
with other elders of the zone.

i
want to bare my testimony of the truth of the book of mormon and that
it is not just any other book we hae been given. the book of mormon is a
book inspired of god, translated from ancient languages through the
power of the preisthood by a prophet who was called of god. the book of
mormon was written for us in these last days and it is the map or guide
that we need to be able to rreturn to live with our families after this
life. the fullness of the gospel is contained in that book. i know that
if we take the time to study and apply the teachings in it we will be
truly happier, we will understand the plan that god has prepared for
each of us, and we can return to live with our heavnly father again.
read it, study it, ponder it, and follow the invitation given to all
people wherever and whoever they are to ask god the eternal father if
the things in the book of mormon are true.
i know that if we have real sincere desires to know if the book of mormon is true and that if we simply ask god, we will recieve a real answer that it is true. we may not be visited by angels or god himself, but if we pay attention to the promptings of the holy spirit, we can come to know the truth of all things just as promised in moroni 10 4-5. i love the book of mormon. it is the keysrone to our religion, and i know that it is the true word of god.
