after 7 and a half months in the same
sector, centinela and 3 more in san vicente (a total of 10 and a half
months in the same zone san fernando) im getting changed. im going to
the big city in rancagua a part called machali with a little peruvian
elder named elder mesias. ive never been to a sector in rancagua before
and everyone says my new sector is the zion of the mission. its a ward
of almost 200 people, and all the missionaries say its a blast over
there. im stoked for the change, a little sad to be saying bye to my
family friends in centinela, but it was time to go.
im
bummed to say bye to danilo, our recent convert and his family. when he
went to the temple, he told us it was amazing and he felt so happy to
be with so many other youth from the district and to be in such a sacred
place. i hope that strengthens his testimony so that he can keep being a
great example to his family and one day lead his dad and sisters to
baptism and the temple soon after.
we had a
little party for a buddy of mine from utah, elder hinton. he turned 19
on sunday and we got to hang out together and eat ice cream before we
all got changed to new zones. im super excited to go to rancagua, elder
mesias and i are going to do some good work there. ill send pics of my
new sector and comp next week!
i know that god
helps us to be in the right places at just the right time for just the
right amount of time. when i got here, danilo found us, it took about 2
months to help him get baptized and the week after his baptism and his
temple trip im leaving. god definitely had his hand in this work to
soften danilos dads heart, to help danilo feel the spirit, get the aaronic
priesthood, and go to the temple within 4 days, and to help danilo
strengthen his testimony and help his family. i know that im supposed to
be in rancagua now and even though im not sure why yet, i know god will
help and guide my comp and i to the people that are waiting for the
gospel. i love you guys and i know this work is the work of the lord.
everything that happens is for a reason and it is part of heavenly
fathers perfect plan for us. we just have to trust in our father in
heaven and follow willingly. thanks for everything, cant wait to see
most of the family for christmas through skype! love you.
