"he is a gringo mix"

hey guys!!

sorry i didn't get your letter last week nino... we were just getting ready to leave when i got it in my inbox but thanks for the email addresses! glad to hear that thanksgiving was a success and good luck with the christmas tree problem ha.

this week was kind of slow, nothing crazy happened, but it was still a good week. elder munoz and i are getting used to each other now and i think we are going to be good friends by the end of this companionship. he is from houston texas, has a year and a half on the mission, has 7 brothers and sisters, his dad is from columbia, and his mom from argentina, but since he was born in the states, he is a gringo mix, he looks super latino but is a gringo ha. he didnt speak any spanish at home before the mission, so when i first saw him i thought he was puro latino and it was super surprising to hear him speak in perfect english ! its good though, he helps me correct my espanol but we mostly talk english at home and when were joking around. hes a good worker and teacher and i'm looking forward to learning from him.

this week one of our baptismal dates, marcela peralta fell through because she didnt make it to church, but we invited our other two investigators to be baptized on the 4th de enero. im hoping it will be my late christmas present. we also found two more people yesterday that were really interested in the restoration and we showed them the video he is the gift and it was a really good lesson. their names are eric and mario. mario is erics dad and they both work in the mine in rancagua so it will be a little difficult to have a lot of time to teach them, but well see what happens.

church this sunday was a good experience this week. it was testimony meeting and all of us elders bore our testimonies and after, literally almost all of the members shared theirs too. sacrament meeting went over almost 30 minutes because of the testimonies and it was awesome to hear the members share how they know this church is true. i bore my testimony about the book of mormon and how i know it is true. i know the book of mormon is literally the word of god. it was written by prophets of old and translate b y joseph smith through the power of the priesthood. the book of mormon is more than just a bunch of cool stories from a long time ago. it is a real account of real history and real people and prophets and their testimonies of a true and living jesus christ. i know that el libro de mormon is the most correct book here on the earth and that it contains the fullness of the restored gospel. read, study, pray about and feast on the book of mormon everyday and see all the blessings you will recieve. i promise and testify that the book of mormon is ture and i love that book. i love reading it everyday and i love seeing the blessings that come from studying it.

i love you guys so much and hope you all have a great week this week. good luck with the new contract dad, congrats on the dump truck! be safe and do good this week guys. love you niƱo, work hard in school, help mom and dad all you can, and know that i love my little brother! love you guys!! talk to you next week!

con mucho amor,
