wow! new york sounded like a blast, good work
on pulling the whole thing off dad. glad you guys had a great time.
elder hwang and i have been having a great time down here too. we havent been going around eating all kinds of 20 dollar sandwiches or pizzas or been going to any broadway plays, but we have been working hard with our investigators and have been blessed with so many miracles this week.
we ended up finding 12 new people to teach after looking and contacting and praying nonstop, and we also had 6 investigators in church with us. we have been working a lot with maribel, who has her baptism date for the 21st still, and from her we have been able to help reactivate her older sister maritza. maritza is dating this guy named claudio and he randomly decided that he should go to church yesterday with maribel and maritza. we taught him last night after church, invited him to baptism for the end of february and he said if he feels the spirit and feels the church is true then he will be baptized. so basically he said yes. so awesome. we are going to get maribel baptized, her sister reactivated, the boyfriend baptized, and maribels mom has been showing some interest in the lessons lately. they are a great family.
we have also been working with 2 couples that are trying to get married but they aren't legally divorced according to chilean law. the government here is really bad about marriages and divorces and its a really long process to go through a divorce and then a marriage right after, but we have been fasting and praying for these two couples. the first couple is juan orellana and janeth gomez. they are about 50 years old and are awesome investigators. the only problem they have is the marriage, so once they get married we are going to be able to get them baptized too. the other couple is mauricio and claudia. mauricio is a less active that we are reactivating and claudia has been taking the discussions for about 2 years now. she is really catholilc and cant accept getting baptized again. we have been working with them to get married and mauricio wants her to be baptized too, so as we work and pray and fast, it will all work out.

hey dad!
good work with the whole ny trip, i'm impressed. i hope i can be a
husband and father just like you someday. thank you for your example to
me. i really do appreciate your example and your testimony. love you
dad.
we had a really strong spiritual experience during one of our lessons this week too. we were teaching maribel about the plan of salvation and how christ has a specific plan for us and part of that plan is to come to the gospel and be baptized. i bore my testimony of the love christ has for us and actually cried a little for the first time in a long time, but the spirit was so strong there, it was really great. i love those kinds of experiences too.

the beach is so awesome. last week it was really cold here and
there were no people on any of the beaches, but now its about 80 in the
days and the beaches are packed full of surfers and people so we cant go
anymore, we have to wait til may when its winter
again.
good idea to write tanner ha, its going to be funny! we have 5 really strong investigators right now and 3 good less actives that are going to be reactivated in the next few weeks. we have a lot of new people we just started teaching, so we will see what happens with them. i recently read this talk by an old general authority named alyn m dyer (i think that's his name) but the talk is called the challenging and testifying missionary and its awesome. it talks about how we need to be completely led and guided by the spirit as missionaries and how we need to challenge everyone we meet to baptism and to testify as much as possible about the truth of the church, so that is what i have been doing.
i love being able to share my testimony to the people we teach. i learned that fear is a tool of satan when we are scared for example to invite someone to baptism, we cant fully have the spirit, so we need to be confident and trust in the lord as we challenge, invite and testify and as a result, the spirit will come and testify to the hearts of the people that what we are saying is true.
