this week has been another good
one here in san fernando. it has been raining all weekend long, but its
been a nice cool weekend. i learned an important lesson over these past
two weeks that i want to share; as a zone leader, we have a few meetings
and conferences that we get to go to with president warne and we always
learn so much from him. this meeting the other week was all about
leading like christ.
i've realized that being a zone leader is a lot of work and its also really fun, but i also realized the importance of leading with love, leading humbly and setting the best example possible. as we all know, christ gave us the perfect example while he was here on the earth and its our job to follow it as perfectly as we can. the sad news is that we are not perfect and will not be perfect in this life even though we have the perfect guide. that doesn't mean that we should give up or lower the bar. we know what is right and wrong, we all know the example that we need to follow so lets just do it. when we fall, lets have the faith in christ to take his hand and get back up and keep pressing on, stronger than before.
i love the talk the president uchtdorf gave a few conferneces back about just doing it if it is something good and just stopping it if it is something wrong. lets all just start doing what we need to do to follow christs example a little better. instead of just believing in christ, lets actually listen to what he says to us and follow the example he gives us and truly believe him.
there is a talk that we all read together in the meeting i went to called examine the path of your feet by president monson that you should read and then follow the invitation that president monson gives us.
i know that jesus lives. i know that he is whole and perfect and i also know that if we believe him and truly follow him we can one day become whole and perfect in him and through him. i know that jesus knows each one of us perfectly and that he wants the best for us, so lets give our best to him starting today.
